Established in 1994, TECHNIFLEX, a privately owned medium size company that has over 50 years experience, has ground its way through the rubber, hand built hose industry over the few years, to become one of the major  manufacturers and suppliers of industrial flexible hose in South Africa.

With their manufacturing premises situated in Chamdor, Krugersdorp, TECHNIFLEX has managed sales and distribution through major centers in South Africa, spreading through Africa.   

Techniflex is currently run by Beatrice Tonkin, well known as a Krugersdorp businesswoman for many years.  In her capacity as Managing Member and with years of business experience, Beatrice was awarded the “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” awarded for 1998. 

As a company Techniflex has been given other awards – in 1997 they received a Presidential Merit award from K.C.C.I. and Sanlam and in 1999 they were finalists for the Business of the Year!

The range of products that TECHNIFLEX produces is vast and flexible; they therefore use their resources and initiative to be able to produce specialized products not in their main product line.  Hand built rubber hose being the main product line of the company; it also generates the most amount of revenue and utilizes the majority of employees.  TECHNIFLEX manufactures rubber hand built hose from 20mm internal diameter to 1500mm diameter, to suit the majority of medium that can be conveyed by rubber hose; namely water, air, slurry, acids, petroleum and abrasive products such as sand blasting grit and concrete.  TECHNIFLEX is in the position to supply small bore hoses for air, water , acetylene, oxygen, acids and petroleum and bellows and fittings.

TECHNIFLEX has recently introduced a full Quality Management Standard in accordance with ISO 9001 2008, by IES Quality Specialists.
